UI/UX Designer (User Experience)

We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to join our decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), baked on the Holacracy model, a non-hierarchical management system with distributed authority. Our mobile banking app enables free global payments using the cryptocurrency Neco, and integrates with Stackchain, a carbon-neutral Blockchain/Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). As a member of our team, you will collaborate with our founder, product owner and developers to create intuitive mobile and web applications that will impact millions of people. You should possess versatility and an eye for good design and look & feel with a team-oriented mindset and a deep appreciation for the significant role your work plays in enhancing the overall user experience. As a User Experience Designer, you will have a unique opportunity to directly engage with users who interact with the platform. You will gain insights into their needs and help drive design decisions that offer valuable solutions and ensure a seamless integration of our innovative financial products. Tasks

You should be self-motivated, able to work autonomously without supervision, and manage your time and tasks reliably. In our decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), you are your own boss and empowered to make all decisions required to fulfill the accountabilities of your role:

• Prototyping user flows and mockups
• Liaising with the frontend developers
• Conducting usability tests
• Identifying new opportunities to create better user experiences
• Working with product managers and engineers to gather and evaluate user requirements
• Designing user interface elements
• Ensuring compliance with Neco's branding standards

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of experience with UI/UX design
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to present design decisions clearly and defend the user experience while negotiating business and technical requirements
• Proven track record of conducting detailed research and producing complex UX solutions, and visual/UI designs
• Experience with agile development (Scrum)
• Prior experience with payment processing is a plus
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• This role will need a minimum contribution of 20 hours per week.
