Responsibilities
- Develop prototypes of the systems as appropriate throughout the development cycle to test ideas and iteratively improve the end product to be delivered to the trading team
- Work directly with quantitative researchers to design, implement, deploy and use software for research and trading
- Adopting agile practices, drive cross-team initiatives with quantitative researchers
- Design, develop and implement analytic tools, as well as build end-to-end web applications and optimize existing data processing jobs
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role with an academic background in Financial Engineering, Mathematics or Computational Finance
- Strong application development experience in Python and preferably possess knowledge in leading web application frameworks such as Django, Flask, experience in ReactJS is a bonus
- Good knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORMs and familiar with leading cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, …)
- Good knowledge of object-oriented design and data structures, knowledge of RESTful and WebSocket web services design
