As Optimism’s first Partnerships Manager with a focus on exchanges and wallets, you will identify and develop relationships with the most used exchanges (DEXes/CEXes) and wallets in crypto.
The ideal candidate will have significant professional experience in a business development function with a focus on strategic partnerships, as well as deep familiarity with the technology and users of exchanges and wallets.
What are the role responsibilities?
- Source, conduct due diligence, and execute high-value strategic partnerships with exchanges and wallets in the Ethereum ecosystem
- Leverage the networks of our well-connected team and supporting organizations (VCs, advisors, existing partners)
- Provide a strategic perspective to product and engineering teams, delivering critical business insights that allow us to build a better product
- Define and lead new initiatives within the partnerships team to expand the reach of Optimism
- Work closely with existing Optimism projects to understand and address their needs
- Track relevant projects and industry developments in wallets, exchanges and crypto in general
What skills do you bring?
- Experience in partnerships managing relationships with foundational service providers in the crypto space
- Strong passion for blockchain tech with a focus on exchanges and wallets
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to identify, pursue and close complex partnerships
- Ability to present and speak in public to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Wide professional network, ideally within the crypto ecosystem
- Comfortable navigating uncertainty and ambiguity among the complexity of the crypto/payments space
