As a DevOps Engineer Coop your responsibilities will include:
- You have some experience with Python/Bash. For example, writing some automation that uses a REST API.
- You have experience with Git.
- You understand the difference between Microservice architecture vs Monolith
- You understand what containerization is and how it relates to microservice architecture. Bonus for knowing about Kubernetes.
- You know what CI/CD is and why it matters. Bonus points if you’ve used or created a CI/CD pipeline before.
- You know some examples of cloud services and what they are useful for, and understand why you would use cloud vs self-hosted.
- You are extremely curious and eager to learn.
A little about you:
- Build & maintain our cloud infrastructure and improve our Kubernetes cluster
- Automate key areas of our development workflow (CI/CD pipelines, build processes, etc…)
- Optimize our GCP and AWS infrastructure for cost, reliability, performance and security
- Maintain a high level of performance and security in all systems, performing regular audits and running tests
- Contribute to the release and infrastructure teams’ knowledge base and mentor other team members to help improve their technical skills
- Work with Development team on new features like enabling AI functionality in Zenhub
- We believe in processes and the power of planning, but you will often have to roll with the punches and prioritize the most impactful tasks on the fly
