Agoric is an open-source software development company bringing better security and composability to the decentralized financial infrastructure of today. Agoric is built on a JavaScript library of reusable, composable components coded by experienced community members. Our secure JavaScript smart contract platform allows developers to rapidly build secure applications on top of an ever-growing collection of reusable governance, lending, and trading components.
We are the go-to solution for developers who are building the next generation of DeFi (decentralized finance). We’ve done the legwork to create a reliable, secure, and composable DeFi infrastructure, and are seeking a talented Community Technical Support Manager to join us as we grow. This is a unique opportunity for someone with an interest in joining a growing tech start-up company, where they will play a key role in the development of Agoric's Developer Relations team and fuel the growth of the company overall.
About the role

Your work with this team will help build a community that will drive the Agoric economy and chain value growth.
You will need to work with engineers across our technology stack from the Cosmos chain level up to Javascript and manage interactions with developers providing them with the technical support they need to develop JavaScript smart contracts and decentralized applications. Your primary work will involve being a front-facing point of contact and technical support on Discord and Telegram for our developer community to help them find answers to their questions, as well as coordinating with engineering and acting as the voice of the user in engineering calls.
What you will be doing
- Develop and implement solutions to effectively manage and scale our growing developer community and provide them with accurate and actionable technical support
- Effectively communicate with the Agoric developer community through Discord, Telegram, GitHub, Slack, and possibly live conferences
- Coordinate with our engineering team and technical writers to identify needs for documentation, FAQs, tutorials, guides, etc.
- Manage and/or implement external technical support ticket management
- Deeply understand the web3/crypto user mindset within the DeFi space, and represent that voice inside engineering meetings
What we look for in you
- 2+ years experience of community management or customer support experience
- Must know JavaScript as an advanced beginner or intermediate (will be tested)
- Technical background and/or experience with computer science, blockchain, smart contracts and an eagerness to learn
- An understanding of blockchain, crypto, smart contracts, and DeFi
- Experience with support ticketing systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Community focused mindset and approachable personality
- Proven experience working cross functionally with engineering and marketing
- Willingness to represent Agoric at events, hackathons, meetups, locally, domestically and internationally

- Have previous experience at a fast-paced, high growth stage internet/software company
- Extensive experience with JavaScript
