At Informal, we apply these formal verification tools and techniques to audit the software of projects in the Cosmos ecosystem and beyond. The Security Services team is dedicated to helping organizations designing secure and efficient blockchain systems.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Blockchain Security Engineer with expertise in blockchain security to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our clients' blockchain ecosystems and smart contracts. Your primary focus will be conducting thorough security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
As a member of our team, you will engage directly with clients, providing expert advice and guidance on blockchain security best practices.

- Conduct comprehensive security assessments of blockchain systems and smart contracts, including reviewing architecture, code, and configuration to identify potential vulnerabilities and security risks.
- Perform in-depth smart contract audits to identify security flaws, logic errors, and vulnerabilities in code and contract design.
- Collaborate with development teams to provide security recommendations and assist in implementing best practices for secure blockchain systems and smart contract development.
- Stay up to date with the latest blockchain security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to ensure our clients' systems are protected against emerging risks.
- Develop and maintain security guidelines, standards, and procedures specific to blockchain technology.
- Act as a subject matter expert on blockchain security, providing guidance and education to internal teams and clients.
- Participate in security incident response activities, conducting investigations, and providing remediation recommendations when necessary.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal security tools and methodologies for blockchain security assessments and audits.
What we look for in a successful Blockchain Security Engineer:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or an equivalent experience.
- Extensive professional experience as a Security Engineer or a similar role with a focus on blockchain security.
- Deep understanding of blockchain technology, including cryptocurrencies, distributed ledger technology, consensus algorithms, and smart contracts.
- Proficiency in blockchain security best practices, protocols, and tools.
- Experience conducting security assessments and audits of blockchain systems and smart contracts.
- Solid knowledge of cryptography, cryptographic protocols, and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with major blockchain platforms (such as Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos) and associated development frameworks.
- Strong programming skills in languages commonly used in blockchain development, such as Solidity, Golang, or Rust.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional certifications in cybersecurity.
