AI Product Engineer

We're looking for a creative and passionate AI Product Engineer to help us leverage modern AI technologies to help automate development workflows and save our customers time. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about the rapidly developing AI landscape and has a product mindset. They should have a proactive attitude towards learning and be creative problem solvers. Successful candidates will have technical knowledge and interest in integrating AI models into products and thrive in ambiguous early-stage start-up environments. Their contributions will help shape the future of Zenhub’s platform. The best candidates will have broad experience across data science, engineering, and product. While expertise in all areas is not expected, the candidate should be eager to learn, contribute, and be involved with the entire development process. What we’ll accomplish together:

• Lead the product development, research, and design for new AI-powered features.
• Get hands-on with the engineering implementation of those features.
• Develop and maintain the backend infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability with AI integration in mind.
• Create intuitive and engaging user interfaces on the frontend to enable seamless interaction with AI-powered features.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment of AI features.
• Research and implement new AI technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance Zenhub's AI capabilities and user experience.
• Optimize AI solutions for deployment on premise, ensuring security and efficiency in air-gapped environments.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain code quality and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AI and software development trends, sharing knowledge with the team and actively contributing to continuous improvement.

A little about you:

• Capable of applying skills across various use cases: This role encompasses a mix of data science, engineering, and product responsibilities. While expertise in all areas is not expected, the candidate should be eager to learn and contribute to the entire development process.
• Adaptability and prioritization: Ability to work with processes and plans, but also be flexible and prioritize tasks based on their impact.
• Understanding of backend or frontend development principles: Familiarity with basic principles and best practices of either backend or frontend development.
• Knowledge of AI concepts and technologies: Familiarity with AI concepts like machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.
• Experience with AI APIs and libraries: Previous exposure to working with AI APIs and libraries, with bonus points for familiarity with LLM API. Knowledge of the main differences between GPT and LLaMA models is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and creativity: Ability to solve problems and think creatively to develop innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills: Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data science or machine learning techniques.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and experience with deploying AI solutions in the cloud.
• Programming skills in at least one of the following: Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, TypeScript or Python.
• Previous experience in developing and deploying On Premise solutions.
• Exposure to natural language processing (NLP) techniques and libraries.
